Only a hippopotamus will do! (mwm 38)

Since I've been hired by the Steal Network, I officially can't enter the ScrapbookSteals midweek mojo drawing anymore, nor can I post my midweek mojo layouts on their facebook page (since it would post under "scrapbooksteals" instead of my name). But, I still want to complete the sketches as much as I have time for!

Here is the sketch for midweek mojo #38:

I love two page sketches/layouts! I've been doing more and more one page layouts, and have learned to REALLY love them as well (at first, I couldn't leave them at one page!), but I think I will always love a great two pager! I absolutely love the scrolls! Such a fun new element!

I started with white cardstock, and sprayed it with Creme de Chocolat & Strawberry Shortcake Glimmer Mists, and then used various papers from the American Crafts' Letterbox collection. This is one of my favorite midweek mojo sketches ever!

The journaling is about June singing "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" while playing hungry hungry hippos!

Ahh, time for another guest sketcher! This darling sketch is from the super cute, talented Jana Paddington!

My layout:

The papers are American Crafts' I heart you! I also used some pebbles chips (the hearts/chipboard elements), and, of course, thickers for the title!

I love how this one turned out! It was also my first time leaving a page as a one page layout! I think I could get used to it!

Most of the papers are from Die Cuts With A View's Sweet Stack!

This is definitely not one of my favorite pages. But, I did win the random drawing after this layout!

This week was a guest sketcher - Christine Redmond! I LOVE how this sketch came to life! I turned it into a two pager - as I usually do. I'm really happy with the finished page!

My layout:

The papers are American Crafts Treehouse collection. I love the whole set!
